WHAT I DO
Like with my name, hyphens link one thing to another. Past links with the present and ultimately the future. My life has been a series of links. My new career as a graphic designer has sprung from a past as a writer-journalist-teacher.
Here in my career portfolio, you will see how things in life can all be strung together with imaginary hyphens, connecting what I have done in the past and how I use that to move forward.
I've been a journalist, a teacher, a writer and a graphic designer.
I’ve written feature articles for the
Houston Chronicle.
I've created employee communication, marketing materials and training curriculum at an oil and gas company.
I've taught journalism, developing student media at Sterling Middle School with a yearbook, news broadcast, class blogs and a newspaper that the student body couldn’t wait to read.
Currently, I'm a Marketing Communication Specialist at WSP USA and previously at Smile Source.
I design marketing collateral both printed and digital. See examples in WSP and Smile Source Projects.
I manage the social media business presence on Facebook and monitor several Facebook groups.
I have designed various landing pages for Smile Source, including Smile Source University.
